Commonly asked questions from our customers…

What size bin should I get?

Not sure on the size skip you require? We recommend calling before you order, to discuss your rubbish and disposal needs. With various skip bins available for hire, we can help you work out what will be the most effective size for your waste disposal. There is a lot more to just hiring a bin. It comes down to the materials you are disposing of, the weight and size of the materials, the location of bin delivery and whether the truck will fit down your driveway.

How much rubbish can go in the bin?

All our bins must be filled level to the top and flat. Overloaded skips may mean rubbish will need to be removed from the skip on site – or an extra charge may occur. Safety is key when picking up and transporting the skip to the tip. Our driver will use a net to cover the bin, which is made for a level filled skip. If you have overflowing rubbish, please order another skip which we can deliver on collection.

What is needed to deliver the bin on site or home?

Our trucks are long wheel based, so sharp corners in the drive can make it difficult to fit down. We require at least a 3m width and 4m height clearance for delivery and collection purposes. Over hanging trees, power lines etc can also impact delivery so please consider this. If your driveway is narrow, long, steep or difficult, please contact us prior and organise photos to be sent to company to see if we can deliver your skip. If you have any special requests on where you would like the skip bin to be placed, please call us to discuss prior to your date of delivery.

How many days do I get the bin for?

Our standard hire duration for a skip bin is for 5 days. If you require the bin for more than 5 days,  additional days are charged at $10.00 per day. Please contact us to arrange a specified pickup day, if you require extended hire.

What happens if the skip bin cannot be delivered?

If the bin cannot be delivered, this will be because not enough or correct information was provided about delivery. Please let us know if your driveway is steep, narrow or has any type of obstacles that may effect the delivery. There will be a call out fee of a minimum $50 to rural addresses or over traveled areas will be charged more, this incorporates time, fuel, travel and man hours. If the bin has been ordered and there is a spot it can be placed, the driver will do so.

Refunds will be refunded minus the $50 call out fee.
